Becky Brown School of Horsemanship

The program is run as a school and, therefore, we ask that our clients commit financially for the full year from the first of September through the end of May.   It takes consistent work and time to achieve genuine riding skills.  The school has approximately 15 horses varying in age, size and training. All are safe, patient and well-mannered. We say that each horse has a special “gift” to teach the rider.

Schooling Shows:

Four times a year, BuckBranch farm offers schooling shows. While these shows are open to the public, most of the riders are students of the school!  These shows are relaxed and fun. Instructors can be in the ring with the competitor if help is needed so they are safe and offer a great opportunity to learn.
Events offered:

  • dressage - levels of dressage begin with walk/trot Introductory Level and goes to highest level that riders wish to participate.
  • Western dressage (new!)
  • hunter classes - jumping classes begin with poles on the ground and top at 3’6”
  • show jumping

If a rider is in the school program, coaching is required at $65 for the day.
If a rider needs a school horse to lease for the show, the fee is $65 for the day.

Dates for the shows can be found on the calendar page.

There are several different partial lease programs for current students only.  The school horses are available to lease on a monthly, weekly, or daily basis to allow students to practice their skills and enjoy the horses during non-lesson times.
